Welcome to my website, Maria Varnalis Art Through Jewelry Handcrafted by Artisan. I fabricate one of a kind and unique fine art jewelry from earring enhancer jackets to gemstone rings.
This amazing journey and passion of self discovery started many years ago. I have fond memories of making jewelry and how much fun it was. It all started after finding some telephone cables left behind from Bell Telephone after they finished a neighborhood job. I stripped the cables to find colorful wires inside. I was so excited in getting started with creating jewelry out of those colorful wires. This discovery of my cherished talent was at the young age of eleven. Today I still work with color but have substituted the telephone wires for brilliant semi-precious gemstones. I grew up in PA but I was born in Athens, Greece and came to the United States with my family when I was an infant of 4 weeks. I come from a long line of artists, actors and musicians and have this undying passion for art and enjoy creating beautiful art in many mediums. I also paint with acrylics and I especially enjoy painting the Greek islands.
